Zero Waste

UC Davis is working toward a zero waste future by aiming to keep 90% of campus waste out of landfills through reducing, reusing, recycling, and composting. Reaching this goal takes all of us, and it starts with sorting waste the right way.

This page offers tools and resources to help the entire campus community reduce waste and make sustainable choices. If you are a student living on campus, be sure to check out the Student Housing Waste Diversion Guides for instructions tailored to your living space.

Have additional questions?

Email recycling@ucdavis.edu for help with recycling and zero waste on campus. This inbox is monitored by our team of trained student Zero Waste Coordinators who are here to support you. Please expect a response within 1-3 business days.

We're also working on a comprehensive FAQ page to answer the most common questions—stay tuned!
